Student Objectives

• Improve mastery of the 3-3-3, 3-6-3 and Cycle
• Receive team assignments and roles for their teams
• Watch the Judges' Training Playlist

Lesson Outline

1. Students set up tables and equipment and practice the 3-3-3, 3-6-3 and Cycle
2. Teacher announces the teams and the Board Members for each team.
3. Board Members meet with the teacher while other team members practice.
4. Teacher gives each Board Member their team list with each student assigned to a role and answers any questions.
5. Board Members report back to their teams and bring any issues related to the announcement of teams and roles back to the teacher. Example would be if team members decide to trade roles.
6. Teams gather in front of a large screen or on their own devices to watch the Judges' Training Playlist
7. Discuss the Positive Pyramid Topic of the Day: If you are judging someone's stacking and they scratch, how can you tell them without making it personal? How might your tone and body language affect the conversation? What else do you think is important to remember in this situation?
